According to 1 Corin 3:7, is says neither the one who plants or the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes all things grow. That’s the Master Gardner… who is working behind the scenes, tilling the soil of our lives, pulling up unnecessary weeds and watering it to see it grow in the coming days. Even as spring is upon us bringing sunshine and blossoms and hope for change, how many of us have worried in this last season? And yet all that worry brought about likely little change to our situation as the anxiety grew. But Paul wrote here in Philippians a key that the church back then needed to hear just as much as we do today. We need to go to God in prayer, pour out our worries, our heartache, our needs and yes, our thanksgiving. It’s a kingdom principle that when we reach out, count our blessings, help a friend, speak a kind word or share even a smile, that peace enters in—and that is the atmosphere of Heaven and evidence that Holy Spirit is on the scene. Trust God w all your worries and know His ways are higher than yours and our good, good Father will turn things around and show up in ways we never even thought possible. Always remember…nothing is wasted w God. He is a God who creates, redeems and restores. His 1st miracle told in the Book of John 2 tells of turning water into wine. Our mishaps, miscalculations and mistakes are only opportunities for God to show up on the scene and get the greater glory. He specializes in just such moments. So if you’re at a crossroads in making an important decision or think you are invisible and sitting by idling through life, reach out and touch the Master’s hand. He will guide your steps, prompt you in making the right decisions and be the lifter of your head. You woke up this morning, so you are here… for such a time as this. The best thing about being a believer and follower of Christ is we know that Friday is not the end of the story. Our faith is based on what happened on Sunday! The resurrection of Jesus Christ gives each of us the promise of life everlasting  because Jesus conquered death & the grave—and that means the debt of our sins are now paid in full ! He paid the ultimate price by giving His life. We have hope for tomorrow.

We really can do ALL things because Christ gives us strength in the middle! He gives us direction, hope, insight and maybe even supernatural knowledge with wisdom to guide us in decisions we need to make. He directs our steps in knowing which turn to take or when to hold back or when to move forward. He is our shield, and He is our Fortress. What if we looked at rain from a different angle…not one that makes things wet, muddy and messy, but instead is necessary and actually needed. ‘Rain’ that washes away things that way us down and perhaps waters our soul and allows things to grow again. God never said life on this side of heaven would be easy, but He always makes a way, and He never leaves us. In fact, He gives us an ‘umbrella’ to keep us dry and safe on the journey.  Holy Spirit watches over and comforts and protects us. The psalmist says in 46:1 that we can run to Him and find refuge. He will protect us from the storms of life.
