Isn’t it amazing that God doesn’t care if we call on Him all the time, we pray the same prayer again & again, or that it may not even sound perfected. He simply wants to hear from us. With all the hustle and bustle around us already, it’s easy to forget the real reason for this Season…it is to celebrate the birth of our Messiah, the Savior of the World. Who among any of us like to wait…in line at the grocery, stuck in traffic or waiting to hear if we got the job or promotion…waiting requires patience, one of the fruit of the spirit that is not easy to cultivate in our life. Eating a pear that is not ripe is just a visual that shows us the process is worth the wait. God is never late, and He is likely never early to answer our prayers or reveal His plan to us. But He does have an advantage—He created us and knows us better than we know ourselves, and He sees the beginning from the end—so trusting His timing, His ways, His plan will certainly be worth the wait. Remember this Thanksgiving that sometimes we see issues with our family or maybe even our home situation, but there are many who may not have either. We are reminded in I Thessalonians 5:18 to be thankful for everything. We are all works in progress in the Lord’s hands, and God is not finished with any of us if we are still on this side of eternity. Be sensitive this season that this might be a difficult time for some and start each day counting the many blessings of what each of us do have. Our cups really do run over.

And just as it says…our faith is positioned OVER fear when we trust and have a relationship with Jesus. Our faith says, ‘No matter what comes my way, I know my God goes before me and is working all things out for my good.’ (Romans 8:28). So find peace & encouragement in the days ahead.
