Deana is a filmmaker and photographer and has been working in the film industry since graduating from Oral Roberts University in 1992. She is the mother of 3 adult children and lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Her passion is in capturing people’s stories whether through film or still photographs and she travels around the country and the world to do so. She is a director and editor for the iRefresh Vlogs and podcasts and has been involved with iRefresh in one way or another for 12 years. She is a living example of the power of prayer and the miracles of God, and therefore, is most fulfilled when she can use her gifts and talents to further the gospel.
Her career has afforded her the opportunity to work with many influential people: politicians, musicians, movie stars, Olympians, and almost any every other field of prominence, but her favorite stories are the ones she finds in everyday people, living everyday lives. As a filmmaker, she gets to retell those stories in hopes of impacting lives. As a photographer, she is known for her candid shots, where she has a gift for capturing the moments no one else sees – those real and raw moments of human nature. Behind every face is a story, behind every smile is a sadness, and behind every tear is a silent voice waiting to be heard. And that is her mission: to tell the untold stories.
