Fighting the Enemy

Challenges come in many ways throughout our lives. Whether it is in the work place, at home, among relationships or simply a bad medical report or awful news, we have the security and comfort of knowing that our mighty God in heaven is wanting to help us face our battles and rescue us from all that concerns us. We hope that you will consider the words of these verses and say them out loud many times, encouraging you with the confidence that God is present to help you overcome!




(S) “You will be secure under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away. You will live in peace, and terror will not come near. 15 If any nation comes to fight you, it is not because I sent them. Whoever attacks you will go down in defeat.”

Isaiah 54:14-15 NLT

(P) Thank You Father for bringing security in providing for a just and fair government. You say ___/my enemies will stay far away from ___/me. Thank You God for providing peace and removing any fear of terror upon ___/me. You promise that any nation (any opposed to God, His ways over me) who may attempt to fight ___/me, You will take them down in defeat.

(S) “The Lord will help you defeat your enemies and make them scatter in all directions.”

Deuteronomy 28:7 CEV

(P) Heavenly Father, I trust Your word that says YOU defeat my/____’s enemies and make them scatter in every direction. Thank You God!

(S) “2When you are about to go into battle, the priest shall come forward and address the army. 3He shall say: “Hear, Israel: Today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not panic or be terrified by them. 4For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”

Deuteronomy 20:2-4 NIV

(P) When ___/I encounter a battle ahead, thank You for reminding ___/me to not grow weary or fearful; do not panic or freak out because You Lord are the one who is going with ___me to fight against ___’s/my enemy to give ___/me victory.

(S) “‘will not need to fight in this battle. Just stand still in your places and see the saving power of the Lord work for you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or troubled. Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you.’”

2 Chronicles 20:17 NLV

(P) God, thank You that ___/I do not have to fight this battle. May ___/I be able to obey You in positioning ____/myself still and see You save by Your power. Remind ___/me to not fear or be upset, knowing God as ___/I go out in the days ahead, You are with ___/me.

(S) “and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”

Psalm 50:15 ESV

(P) God, I call on You in this difficult time… thank You for delivering ___/me and choosing to glorify ___/me.

(S) “Through God we will have victory, for He will trample down our enemies.”

(P) God, You give ___/me victory. Thank You for defeating ___’s/my enemies.

(S) “When a man's ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”

Proverbs 16:7 KJV

(P) I pray ___/I please You Lord, causing ___’s/my enemies to be at peace with ___/me.


(S) “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, says the LORD.”

(P) Although a weapon (a means of destruction) or someone’s gossipy, slanderous method may form against ___/me to cause a lack of provision, thank You God that it will not stand up against You. I know You will reduce every evil, conniving way that has tried to come against ___/me will not stick and will be powerless before You.

(S) “For they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.”

(P) God, You promise that no one who attacks ___/me will prevail: thank You Father that You deliver ___/me every time.

(S) “… ‘You will not succeed by your own strength or by your own power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord All-Powerful.”

(P) You remind us that ___/I cannot succeed on ___/my own strength or abilities and resources, but by Your Spirit, Your help and guidance all powerful Lord.

(S) “17 When the 70 completed their mission and returned to report on their experiences, they were elated. Seventy: It’s amazing, Lord! When we use Your name, the demons do what we say!

Jesus: 18I know. I saw Satan falling from above like a lightning bolt. 19 I’ve given you true authority. You can smash vipers and scorpions under your feet. You can walk all over the power of the enemy. You can’t be harmed.”

Luke 10:17-19 VOICE

(P) God, You have given ____/us authority over demons when we use Your name. We thank You that we won’t be harmed when we are led by You to pray protection and covering from our enemies.
