    Weary

Let's face it, life has days where it's an all out struggle to get through. Maybe you have walked through days, even weeks on ending where you don't know how to draw on God's strength, yet God can and does sustain us, even when we might not ask. If we will look to Him, cast our thoughts, emotions, concerns and all that is pressing us, we know according to God's word, that He is present, willing and wanting to help us in all areas of our life.

May these Scriptures and prayers bring you renewed hope and encouragement that God will help refresh you and bring you through your tired and weary place you or a loved one is facing.

    (S) “So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up.”

    Galatians 6:9 NET

    (P) Father, You encourage ___ to not get to the point of exhaustion and being weary because You promise in the proper time, ___ will reap the benefit of what has been done as long as ___ doesn’t quit.

    (S) “28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is an eternal God, the Creator of the whole earth. He does not get tired or weary; there is no limit to his wisdom. 29 He gives strength to those who are tired; to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed. 30 Even youths get tired and weary; even strong young men clumsily stumble. 31 But those who wait for the Lord’s help find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles’ wings, they run without growing weary, they walk without getting tired.”

    Isaiah 40:28-31 NLT

    (P) Father, You are eternal, Creator of all things. How grateful I am that You do not get weary and there is no limit to Your wisdom. May You give strength to ___ who is tired; may You renew ___’s energy where lacking. May ___ experience a renewed energy and strength like an eagle does. May ___ run the race of life without being weary and walk through each step and not get tired in spirit, soul and body.

    (S) “25 For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.” 26 At this, I woke up and looked around. My sleep had been very sweet.”

    Jeremiah 31:25-26

    (P) Lord, I praise You for giving rest to ___ who is weary and joy in the midst of ___ going through sorrow. May ___ wake up and feel rested, having received sweet and peaceful sleep.

    (S) “But Moses' hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.”

    Exodus 17:12 ESV

    (P) Father, even as Moses became weary in holding up his staff to protect the people during battle to maintain victory, so I ask You to send the Aaron and Hur in to ___’s life to help lift up ___ with what I/they are walking through. Strengthen and encourage ___ in the battle.

    (S) “Think about Jesus, who endured opposition from sinners, so that you don’t become tired and give up.”

    Hebrews 12:3 GW

    (P) Thank You Jesus for enduring all the pressure and opposition from so many sinners so that ultimately ___ can be encouraged and not give up when tough.
