Handling Finances from God's Viewpoint

What is the one of the most stressful areas of our life, whether single or married - our finances. Some things are out of our control from unexpected events that can leave us to the point of disrepair and affecting our health and mental well being. Whether we were taught how to manage our money or had a practical understanding on saving and budgeting, we can still come to a common need to lean in to God to guide us and help us to be good stewards of all that God has given to us. May these Scriptures encourage your heart that God is present in your life to help you in your circumstances.


(S) “God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].”

2 Corinthians 9:8 AMP

(P) God, thank You for endless favor over ___. In every situation, may ___ be aware that You have plenty for ___ so that they can in return give to those in need as You lead them.

(S) “Let them say continually, “Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”

(P) You enjoy providing well for ___. May ___ praise You for all the blessings You give freely.

(S) “The Lord’s blessing brings wealth, and no sorrow comes with it.”

(P) Thank You Lord that you make life rich for ___, and no pain comes with it.

(S) “But remember the Lord your God is the one who makes you wealthy. He’s confirming the promise which he swore to your ancestors. It’s still in effect today.”

(P) May ___ understand You Lord give ___ the ability to be wealthy. You keep Your promises You made with our ancestors.

(S) Now there was a famine in the land—besides the previous famine in Abraham’s time—and Isaac went to Abimelek king of the Philistines in Gerar. Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy. (P) God, ___ honors You with first of all ___’s earnings. Thank You for blessing __ with an abundance.

(S) “32 For it is the Gentiles who strive for all these things; and indeed your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 “So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. (P) God, You say you know that ___ has need of ___. Help ___ focus on Your Kingdom first and Your will, knowing that You keep Your word and will care for the needs and concerns ___ has. Help ___ not worry about the future, but trust You in the now and tomorrow.

(S) “29 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be of anxious mind. 30 For all the nations of the world seek these things; and your Father knows that you need them. 31 Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things shall be yours as well.”

(P) You tell us Father to not be concerned about what we are to eat or drink because You already know of the need ___ has. Thank You that ___ can seek to do Your will and You will take care of all the other needs.

(S) “4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you fleshly? 5 Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but servants through whom you believed; and each as the Lord gave to him? 6 I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.”

(P) Father, help ___ to follow Your voice to do what You ask of ___. We thank You Lord that You promise to increase what we put our hands to do.

(S) “With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine.”

(P) Thank You Father for working in ___ to much more than we could even imagine. Praise You for Your goodness on ___.
