Hearing God's voice looks like:
Turn on worship music and begin to sing and meditate on God. He is present there. Create an atmosphere where you invite Him in to that space.
Recognize what God is saying by asking the Lord about each topic: "I present this before you. What do you say about this?" I stopped asking questions that demanded a 'yes' or 'no' answer so that I wasn't forcing a 'yes' or 'no', but He freely shares His answer. I then ask, "what do you mean about that?" Get clarity on the answer.
If something is not quite right, go to God with it. Take time for clarity.
If I don't obey God, how many are affected by my decision? We can negatively affect others if I'm disobedient.
Get in a place where you're open, honest and tell God where you're at. Let God prove to you who He is.
Be open with the Lord to invite Him to the broken places.
Ask for Him to heal your heart. He'll restore you.
God is relentless in pursuit of you!
