Praying over the Coronavirus

I recently learned a powerful truth that there are NO negatives in the Kingdom of God. Every single obstacle in our life has a promise and a provision attached to it. The Father is not up in Heaven losing sleep over the Corona virus...He is not filled with fear for His children and He does not feel like He is losing control. Let me tell you just a few promises that God has for us in this situation:

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. (‭Psalm‬ ‭37‬:‭23‬ NLT). God gives us His wisdom, so ask His advice before you travel, or do something that you think could possibly put yourself at risk.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (‭Romans‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ ESV). God is not the author of fear...but He does promise His perfect peace so that we will overflow with His hope.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6-7‬ ESV). God wants us to come to Him with thanksgiving... thankful that He directs our steps, gives us His Wisdom, fills us with hope, and casts out all our fear.

Fill your thoughts with my words until they penetrate deep into your spirit. Then, as you unwrap my words, they will impart true life and radiant health into the very core of your being. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭21-22‬ TPT). God’s Word brings us radiant health... that’s how powerful His Word is...it is life to His children, so cling to it, apply it, and reap the benefits of its promises.

No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. (‭Psalm‬ ‭91‬:‭10-11‬ NKJV). This promise wasn’t only for the Israelites. In Jesus name, and by the healing power of His blood, we are protected from this plague!

In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. (‭Psalm‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ESV). This virus is no reason for us to lose any sleep. It is not God’s design for His children to live in fear.

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. (‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭2-6‬ NLT) This virus is an opportunity for great joy for God’s children because the bigger the obstacles, the bigger the promise!!

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I praise Your name! Your faithful love endures forever! I am so thankful that nothing surprises You. You are already present in our future, and You delight in navigating our path, steering us clear of fear, anxiety, panic, sickness, and any other negative in our life. Thank You for the promises of Your Word that tell us what to focus on. I thank You that You have placed a hedge of protection around each and every household that is covered by the blood. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit that gives us Wisdom on where to go and where not to go. We lift up all the people that are working so tirelessly to find a cure for the Corona virus. We ask for divine revelation to come upon them so that a complete cure is found and administered quickly and orderly. Help us to be a light to those that are filled with panic. I pray that our peace would draw them to You. You are a good, good Father, and we love You! In the healing name of Jesus, amen and so be it.
