Through seasons of life, from the mountain tops to the difficult times, Natalie Kresge tells Laura Watson how she could trust God in and through difficult times as she found stability in the four pillars of her and her family's life (prayer, scripture, community and worship).
Does God ultimately have your trust?
Hard times can happen but will you still trust God?
In things that you do, does it have eternal value?
“The Scriptures say that God is near to the brokenhearted. So I knew He was close; I knew He was there, but it was a new level to trust Him again with that season of grief and loss.”
Share your truths
Make yourself vulnerable
Be transparent with someone you can trust and who can speak faith into you, speak truth to what you are feeling.
Believing in something unseen is true faith
Natalie tried for 5 years to have a baby, and then her community prayed "that Supernatural will dominate the natural." Soon after she was pregnant.
Remember to trust God and his timing. Don’t lazily trust God but you need to take action steps.
Have people pray with you.
God knows best with what season you are in.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
Core Pillars of Faith
Prayer - we can run to God in prayer.
Scripture - they are references
Community - key to who is speaking in to your life each season; those who are led by the Holy Spirit
Worship - sets the atmosphere for the home and our attitude!
My husband and I go through a season of frustration and prayer is our life line, our pillar - it is his presence. It’s still a core value for our home - prayer.
“Sometimes it seems so simple. Like, oh it’s just prayer, it’s just read scriptures, but those simple things God has set up, is really a success plan to be with us.”
