Show Notes

  • We all face marked moments that are game changers in our life i.e., death in the family

  • Debbie's body had signs of fatigue and illness which the enemy tried to create fear that she could die like her sister-in-law.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Hebrews 13:8 ESV

“You can’t be moved by what you see, can’t be moved by what you feel, you can’t be moved by what you hear. Those things are temporal; they’re subject to change, but the Word of God and the Spirit of God, it will never change.”

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."

Matthew 24:35

  • Debbie choose His word of truth instead of giving into fear.

  • Don't blame God

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

John 10:10 ESV

Matthew refers to how we build our foundation – firm or sand. (Matthew 7:24-27) This is the difference:

“Difference maker: in the Word daily, meditate and memorize Scripture.”

Proverbs 3 Life and health to every part of our flesh:

1. Guaranteed to put the life of God in you

2. Has no negative side effects

3. Can’t overdose on it

“I’ve prayed to ask God that I’d always be hungry and thirsty for His Word and for His Spirit and that nothing and no one will ever satisfy me more than Him.”
“I asked for an insatiable appetite for His Word and for His Spirit. Ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate this to me; make sense of what this is to me.”
  • Lights are activated by hitting a switch. The electricity is always there, but we have to turn on the switch to activate it. In same way, activate your Spirit; turn on your faith (switch).

“Holy Spirit description is He’s our standby. He’s right there waiting to give you a nugget of truth or revelation for whatever you need. Just ask him.”

How does God's Word in your prayer life help you?

  1. PRAY THE WORD - What are you standing on from the Word? Our fervent prayers have greater impact when praying God's words over your dreams and circumstances.

  2. PRAY IN THE SPIRIT – Romans 8 When pray in the spirit, it helps us pray God’s perfect will.

How do you help people learn what Scriptures to stand on?

  1. A concordance

  2. Online apps i.e., YouVersion

  3. Your Pastor’s or church websites +

  4. Write verses down, meditate on them, say them out loud, ask God for revelation or how to live out the word

“God is going to anoint us, grace us and equip us to receive the Word to digest the Word and to live out that Word.”

Power of life and death are in the tongue.

“Every day I’m either contributing or contaminating my relationships. I’m making a choice. Are my words life-giving?”

  1. Be open heart to Jesus. God loves you.

  2. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you.

  3. Ask for a hunger for Him.

  4. Find a reading through the Bible plan.

  5. Ask the Holy Spirit how to live it out in your life. Like a diet, healthy choices reap healthy benefits as the Word does the same.

“The more in the Word, the Bible, the more you’ll know what He sounds like.”
