Debra Barker’s ministry entails more than a music ministry; she is also an anointed minister of the Word. Traveling throughout the United States speaking and singing to thousands in Congregations, Women’s Groups, Youth and Singles Groups, and National Conferences, she shares the uncompromising Word of God. Her gifts have given her opportunity to speak and sing in some of the largest churches in the United States. In addition to Missions work in Mexico and Guatemala, she has frequently appeared on the TBN Christian Network. Her recent release entitled, “Only Love” follows the success of her previous four recordings, “I Am Determined”, “Chosen By A King”, “In God’s Care”, and “Just Believe”.
She was born and raised in the Panhandle of Oklahoma. Accepting Christ as her Savior at the age of five, the desire to fulfill God’s purpose for her life began. Debra’s musical abilities played a key role in her winning six Miss America Preliminary titles. She was first runner-up in the Miss Arizona and Miss Oklahoma Pageants where she was also the Grand Talent Winner. Her educational goals led her to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she earned a degree in Business Management at Oral Roberts University. She completed graduate studies in Music Theatre at Arizona State University and graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center. Debra and her husband, Ty live in Tulsa, Oklahoma where they have Co-Pastored Victory Singles the adult singles ministry of VCC for several years and have been Instructors at Victory Bible College. Together they feel called and compelled to train believers for a fruitful life that glorifies God.
