    How Do I Forgive That?

When people hurt us, it's natural to react in anger and to want to hurt them back. But God tells us to forgive so we can be forgiven. How do you forgive when you don't feel like forgiving?

    Podcast Episode

    Show Notes

    • We all sin in someway and all need forgiveness.

    • Freedom versus bondage

"At the end of the day we can't be the judge of some ones heart."
    • There is not unforgiveness in heaven.

    • Ask God to teach you to humble you.

"When I have held onto unforgiveness its almost like I bring that from the past into the now and then I give it permission to damage my future."

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

    Matthew 5:44

    • Not choosing forgiveness, invites bitterness.

    • Ask the Lord to give you eyes of love and forgiveness for those around you but also for yourself.

"Left up to me, I want to be right. Left up to me, I want someone to pay for what they have done. But when it's Christ in me, when I can say because of what Jesus has forgiven me for and because now He dwells within me and He's shown me the way, I too can forgive."

Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.

    Ephesians 4:32 NET

...bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

    Colossians 3:13 ESV

    4. It is a process.
